Free Dental Treatment for Under 18 Year Olds
All teenagers from year nine up to their 18th birthday are eligible to receive free basic dental care at Bayside dental.
These services include:
- Examinations
- Radiographs (if required)
- Preventative treatment such as fluoride application and fissure sealants
- Restorative treatment
- Root canal fillings (if government prior approval approved)
- Extractions (but not orthodontic extractions)
Who is eligible for the Free Adolescent Service?
Children from year nine up until their 18th birthday.
How many free visits is my child eligible for?
Children in New Zealand are entitled to one free check up per calendar year. If there is another problem like a tooth ache during the year, they are able to make another free appointment, where the tooth ache will be assessed
